Support Alex Wilson

We were recently contacted with some difficult news about a former pupil, Alex Wilson, the youngest of three brothers who all attended our school.

Alex left Yarm in 2001, and he has since built a life and career in America, with his wife and three children, working as a talented and respected animator.

Tragically, Alex has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy, with the hope of shrinking the tumour enough to allow surgery.

As a result of his diagnosis, Alex has had to stop work, and the financial burden of treatment in America, a close friend of his has set up a GoFundMe page to help support Alex and his family during this incredibly difficult time.

We are currently exploring ways for our upcoming Community Week to incorporate an element of fundraising for Alex.
