FP highlighted as one of the region’s most exciting writers

Former Pupil, Alex Ravenhall, has been highlighted as one of the region’s most exciting writers by having his play performed by a professional theatre company later this month.

Alex’s play “53 Years” will be one of six short plays performed in Durham (Feb 24) and North Shields (Feb 29) as part of the Haddaway & Write Performances.

Haddaway & Write is the early talent development scheme from award winning Hooley Theatre. Alex originally wrote and performed “53 Years” whilst at Yarm and performed it for the Duologues competition when he was in Upper Sixth. He entered a redrafted version of his play in the Haddaway & Write competition and was selected to showcase alongside 5 other talented writers that celebrate the theme of hope.

Tickets, £10, are available from https://www.hooleytheatre.com/book
