After 12 years of extraordinary leadership of music at Yarm School, Mrs Katie Staggs is leaving, having been appointed to the SMT of Repton School as their new Director of Music.  During Katie's time at Yarm she has transformed the musical life of the school, led with creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for providing pupils with opportunities to develop their love of music.  Her vision for the use of our outstanding facilities for music and the creative arts, notably The Princess Alexandra Auditorium which was opened in 2012 and the new Music School opened in 2016, has facilitated some wonderful musical experiences, and enabled our wider community to come together in the celebration of music.

We would love to have one more celebration with Katie and our alumni before she leaves us for pastures new.

The concert will be 6pm on Sunday 23rd June and rehearsals will be throughout the day. There is an opportunity for solo and ensembles to relive your Yarm Music days - please share the details with your friends from Yarm.
